This Sunday the NFL presents a fight between two NFC West teams. Let’s take a look at this single game Draftkings Showdown Slate from a fantasy football perspective!
Before I discuss my Draftkings player picks for Sunday’s game, let’s take a look at the top DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the single-game showdown competition.
Aries: OUT: Cam Akers, RB.
Sea hawks: OUT: DeeJay Dallas, RB. DOUBT: Mike Lupatl, G. QUESTIONABLE: Brandon Shell, T: Damarlous Randall, SS.
Let’s turn our focus to the rules for the Draftkings Single Game Showdown Competition. You have $ 50,000 to use for five players on both teams. However, one of these players will be designated as your team captain. The captain collects 1.5 times the standard Draftkings points. In addition, it costs the captain 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.
The remaining four players in your line-up will receive the Standard Draftkings Points. However, finding the right player for your captaincy position is very important to you if you are hoping to win a Draftkings Showdown competition.
If you have any further questions about the Draftkings Showdown Contest Rules, I recommend visiting the Draftkings website for more details.
Here are my Draftkings player picks for Sunday afternoon game!
Robert Woods, WR $ 13,800 Captain Price / Flex Price $ 9,200
I think it’s safe to say that Rams quarterback Jared Goff likes to toss the football to Robert Woods. In his last five games played, wide receiver Robert Woods in Los Angeles was attacked 54 times by his Rams signal caller! Woods made 40 receptions, 383 yards, and two touchdowns out of those 54 goals.
Now that we’ve determined Robert Woods’ fantasy worth, let’s turn to the defense he’s facing this week. With 14 games played this season, the Seattle Seahawks are the last (32nd). In my opinion, from a Fantasy / Draftkings perspective, Woods has a clear chance of performing at a high level on Sunday afternoon.
It should be noted that the Rams and Seahawks met at the start of the season. Los Angeles defeated the Seahawks 23-16 in Week 10. In the Rams’ win over Seattle in Week 10, Robert Woods garnered five receptions.
Russell Wilson, QB $ 11,400
The 31-year-old quarterback is playing superbly this season. In 14 games played, Wilson has accumulated 3,806 yards and 37 pass touchdowns. That’s an average of 271.86 passing yards and 2.64 passing touchdowns per game! These outstanding statistics result in an average of 25.3 Draftkings Points per game.
Malcolm Brown, RB $ 4,400
I noted earlier in this article that the Rams have officially ruled out running back Cam Akers for injury. Earlier this week, Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay reported that the Rams were planning to use running backs Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson Jr. in Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Brown arrives on the Draftkings Showdown Chalkboard for just $ 4,000.
Jason Myers, K $ 3,200
Seattle Seahawks Jason Myers have been one of the NFL’s most trusted kickers this season. Just look at the dates. In 14 games this season, Myers has attempted 20 field goals. The result was the same every time he was called. Myers scored all 20 field goals he tried. That’s the kind of reliability I look for in a fantasy kicker.
Gerald Everett, TE $ 1,800
The Rams use 12 people more often. For those readers who didn’t know, 12 staff includes a set with two tight ends. That means that Los Angeles Rams’ Gerald Everett has been more consistent on the field lately. In his last three games played, Everett has been targeted 14 times by his quarterback. In my opinion, Gerald Everett is offering an excellent fantasy uptrend at the low Draftkings price of just $ 1,800.
Additional flex plays that I like: Jared Goff, QB $ 10,000: Cooper Kupp, WR $ 9,000: Tyler Lockett, WR $ 8,800.
