Here are some fantasy football options for the final week of the season.
We have reached the last week of the NFL regular season. Thankfully, the NFL got there with just a few COVID hiccups. With that we enter the final issue of this weekly article.
If we’re being completely honest, this week is usually a fantasy football wash. However, this could still help those who play fantasy football weekly or who, unfortunately, are still trying to win championships in week 17.
Since there are still some playoff settings and positions to be assigned, some competitive football will be played this week. Therefore there are still big, important appearances to come.
Without further ado, let’s get into this final installment of “5 Breakout Fantasy Football Stars To Pick Up For The Week …”.

Who knows who Bill Belichick will focus on in the team’s home final against the New York Jets? He will have to decide whether to give Cam Newton another start or use the game as some sort of evaluation method for Jarrett Stidham.
Either way, that shouldn’t matter much in terms of adding Jakobi Meyers wide receiver. Yes, he probably has “more” worth if Newton leaves, which doesn’t suggest he won’t start for the New England Patriots this week.
Meyers has been the team’s most consistent receiver this season and a target Newton has been pretty comfortable on. In three games this year he has seen 10+ goals. He has had five other games with five or more goals while walking over 100 yards twice.
The New York defense wasn’t great against the pass, which allowed the opponents some nice fantasy results. Although this defense has sometimes played better with young players in secondary school, like in week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is still a Belichick-run team, and he’s had the Jets number for years. Meyers should still be able to achieve his goals and he could very well play a game like Week 9 when these two teams played in New York. In this competition he had 12 catches for 169 yards on 14 targets. Just add a touchdown and that score could be huge.
